The evolution of ALES 60 and 120 single beams employing the well-known SMA technology, single self-powered 50 metre range version, supplied with a rear housing which houses the batteries and commonly used for radio transmitter. Optical sync with 4 different channels, environmental output is available but to keep power consumption low thermostatically controlled heaters cannot be used. The TX tamper alarm is optically relayed to the RX giving separate alarm and tamper outputs. 36 Month battery life is guaranteed and there is an audible low battery warning during beam interruption. An alarm condition is generated in the event of the batteries being completely discharged thanks to the "fail in alarm" micro relay.
